Drama of the Week - Love Around (+Giveaway*)

As I've mentioned before in a previous "Drama of the Week"  post, I love Taiwanese dramas!! I started this one simply because Substitute Princess ended and I was craving another Taiwanese couple!! 

 So far there are 4 episodes released and I love the chemistry of these two.  It  could be due to the fact that this is their 2nd drama together (Love, Now is the other one, & I plan on starting it very soon)!  But in the drama,  they become friends first.  They haven't been forced into any situation,  they're simply keeping their relationship because they want to and enjoy the presence of each other's company.  

 They're initially drawn together because of their recent breakup to the partners they thought were "the one."  Now,  of course with any drama,  there will be love between the two,  but I'm loving that it's more of a  natural/ realistic approach. 

*Spoiler Alert*  With the preview to next week's episode,  I'm thinking someone had already developed feelings.  Color me excited!! :-P 

Summary of the drama:

While still reeling from the shock of his breakup, Zhou Zhen witnessed a girl, Liang Xiao Shu, getting dumped by her cheating boyfriend and didn't know how to fight back. Zhou stepped in and helped Liang exact revenge. They became friends over the incident. But their budding relationship soon suffered a great blow when Liang inadvertently made enemy with Zhou's father on a radio station. Could their relationship survive parental disapproval or die in its infancy?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? Jazzy July & A Giveaway!

Good morning! And happy July! I love when the first day of a new month falls on a Monday. I have no idea why. :)
This week is a busy one, as I'll be packing to move, cleaning and introducing a feature this month called Jazzy July, where I'll [try to] post every single day--sometimes multiple times--and at the end of the month have two separate giveaways! I had intended to do a giveaway when I reached 50 followers, but that seems to be coming up a little faster than I thought. So I will do one at the end of summer. That means I'll do it on the first day of autumn, September 22nd, 2010! I'm still unsure what book I'd like to giveaway, I don't know if I want to do a Debut Author giveaway or just any other random book. So I'm going to ask you guys which book you would like to win in a giveaway. (It must be released before or on September 21st, 2010.) The top five answers will go in a poll that I will create by next month, August 15th, and I will add my own choice.
If the book you choose is in a series, make sure to let me know.

My blog is not limited to YA titles, thought I do read those more often.
It must be a fiction book in the Adult or Young Adult field.

Recreate a Cover: Tell Me a Secret (Full Post)

Early this week I entered a contest at Princess Bookie to recreate the cover of the book Tell Me a Secret by: Holly Cupala. Her rules were:

Here's the thing. I turned in my cover on July 12th and while I was posting the blog and filling in the link she was already making the voting poll...and there were only 29 entrants. So, of course mine didn't get put in the actual poll, so she just put my cover in the voting post for people to put #29 in the comments if they want to vote for me. (The real #29 wasn't a real entry). And most people would skip over the picture because: 1) it's small and 2) it's not in the actual poll. :-(

So I'm here to say that I am unofficially withdrawing from the contest. There is pretty much no way that I will be moving on in the next round. Yeah, sucks. So this post is to show you all of the book covers I made for the contest and the one I entered.
