Over at the Princess Bookie, I entered a re-create the cover contest. We were to re-create the cover of the soon-to-be-released book, You Wish by: Mandy Hubbard. Which sounds like a cute book. Would love to win it. Hint, hint!

Re-Create a Cover | "Dead to the World" by Charlaine Harris

As you've seen through previous posts, I love to do these types of contests....but this one was so frustrating. I had no idea what to do. So...I took the easy road. And I feel as though I've cheated. But oh well. I did it. I'm entering. There.

This contest is to re-create the book cover of Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris. It's the fourth book in the popular Sookie Stackhouse series. I have all the books except for Dead and Gone and Dead in the Family....and a signed cover of Dead in the Family is the prize. So I would love that!

Re-Create a Cover | "Coffeehouse Angel" by Suzanne Selfors

I got an invite to join this contest, and as most of you have seen...I love these kind of contests!
It's another re-create a cover contest. This one is hosted by Trisha's Book Blog. We are to re-create the cover of the upcoming book, Coffeehouse Angel by: Suzanne Selfors. I have heard about her book Saving Juliet and it's on my wish list. I would love to win and read this book, Coffeehouse Angel.

What do you think of this entry, I love the original it's so colorful, so I decided a classic black & white would be mine. I love doing these re-create the cover contests, even if I were to never win, they're still fun & a way to stretch my "artsy" fingers.

Recreate a Cover: Tell Me a Secret (Full Post)

Early this week I entered a contest at Princess Bookie to recreate the cover of the book Tell Me a Secret by: Holly Cupala. Her rules were:

Here's the thing. I turned in my cover on July 12th and while I was posting the blog and filling in the link she was already making the voting poll...and there were only 29 entrants. So, of course mine didn't get put in the actual poll, so she just put my cover in the voting post for people to put #29 in the comments if they want to vote for me. (The real #29 wasn't a real entry). And most people would skip over the picture because: 1) it's small and 2) it's not in the actual poll. :-(

So I'm here to say that I am unofficially withdrawing from the contest. There is pretty much no way that I will be moving on in the next round. Yeah, sucks. So this post is to show you all of the book covers I made for the contest and the one I entered.
