Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted anything! Well, I'm back with a lot books this week and they're all from this past week! Though I'm currently reading Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, I need to jump intot he ones that are to be released by the end of July and August ASAP! 

I'm quite excited for My Life Next Door so, I may have to push a couple others aside to dive into this one!I should really organize my book shelf (when we move into our new house) and Kindle by release month!!)

I have read the first book in the Lightbringer series (review here) and enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to Reaper. Though, I won't lie, the covers are not appealing to me in anyway. They're still great books!

So, I really really realllllly need to stop accepting books to review, stay off of netgalley and stay away from the library until these are done!

So much rain here (even though it's still hot) so, I shall face my window and read read read! :)

In My Mailbox (018)

It isn't too often that I actually get books, I'm usually a library supporter, but I had a Barnes & Noble gift card as well as a few bucks to spend. . . So, I decided to get some.

Here's what I acquired and where I got them from!

I am one of those lone people who have yet to read The Hunger Games... But that will change very soon.

I've been quite distracted lately, and haven't had the chance to finish I Am Number Four... But I'm like it so far, I'm exactly 200 pages in out of 440 pages. Really hoping to be finished by Wednesday... Have more to do tomorrow.

I got the movie poster version because, I honestly do not like the original cover! And I'm usually very against getting promotional versions of books. But... come on... Alex Pettyfor is hot! :)

The Last Thing I Remember has been on my "to-read" list for awhile and Amanda (Another Book Junkie) & I went to Border's for their closing (*weep*) sale and it was the last one, so I went ahead and got it. I probably won't be reading it too soon, I have a lot of books I should be reading (read: Should have already read!)

**I've already read Twenty Boy Summer and gave it a 4/5 stars. I will not be reviewing this book because I feel that I won't be able to give it a proper review. It took me over a month to finish this book because I was in a "I-don't-want-to-read" kind of mode.
But the books I read from now on will get a review!!

So, those are the books I acquired since my last post in October. Not much. . . but definitely worth mentioning! I believe the first review book I will be. . . reviewing. . . is Dorris Bridge. I will let you know now that it is an adult book!

I got the first three books at garage sales. The woman who had Velocity had an insane amount of books for sale & I had to take a step back before I got a little carried away. My mom picked up a couple books as well.Pretties was at the first garage sale we stopped at, it's a little warped as if it's been shoved in a box for far too long...but it's still readable...so I will. I just need to get Uglies the first book in the series.Drop Dead Beautiful was at our last garage sale and though she had many other books to rummage through...not many of them caught my eye. (I also picked up Titanic on VHS from this one...hey....I love that movie!!)

Sisters Red I haven't heard much about at all, but there was a little twitter spree with the hash tag #SistersRed going on awhile back, so I decided to put it on hold at the library & just recently "unfroze" the book...so it'll be the next book I read!!

• The Girl with Glass Feet by Ali Shaw
 This book was released in February of this year, and is an adult title.
I haven't read a  lot of adult books lately, so I decided to pick up two at the library.
This is a fantasy book, where the girl in the book begins turning into...glass.
Sounds weird, but interesting.

• Chasing Windmills by Catherine Ryan Hyde
The other Adult fiction.
This one is about a woman trying to escape her crazy and a teenager trying to escape his life......
So they decide to escape together. Before she realizes  he's only 17.
Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
I may read it first.

I have read another book by Amanda Marrone called Uninvited and I'm going to be perfectly honest....I did not like it. At. All. I didn't give it a review, because there wouldn't be anything good about it. HOWEVER it did spark an idea for a book that I've working very hard on. No, it's not a "you did it wrong, let me show you how it's done" type of book. 
I was considering buying this book one week, but decided to get a different one instead(review). I love that cover! The deep blue with the lime green is gorgeous. My nails are actually the exact same color as that apple. (Yes, I checked. [: )
Can't wait to read this one.

I won this book from Goodreads.com. I won't lie, I enter for any book that sounds half way decent. And this one did. 
It may not be my style, and I may end up hating it. But...who knows.
Yes, this book is about pinstriping like you see on classic cars. But, hopefully, there's more to the story. I'm not sure if it's a young adult or not, but I read both so it doesn't matter to me.
I glanced through the book and noticed that the layout is really weird, the way the paragraphs are. (I may put a picture up later.)


Anyways....
That's my IMM for today. (I may do this twice a week instead of one big one at the end from now on.)

• Scars by: Cheryl Rainfield
• I Now Pronounce You Someone Else by: Erin McCahan

Scars is a new book this year by an author who used the name C.A. Rainfield for her book  The Last Dragon. Because she used a different name, I don't know if you'd consider this one a debut author this year or not. But I picked it up anyways. After reading The Sky is Everywhere, a book with a surprising amount of laughs and heart, I really don't want to read a dark depressing book....but it sounds pretty good.

I Now Pronounce You Someone Else is a debut author. The book was released June 1st. I have read the summary over and over but I still forget what it's about. I obviously want to read it however! There seem to be mixed reviews on goodreads, but like I always say....I don't trust their reviews....at all.

Surpringly, I have never read any of the Harry Potter books...and I've known about them since I was in 5th grade. (And I'm 21 now.) I am a huge fan of the movies. I just never bothered reading the books. I am hoping to read them all except Deathly Hallows by November. I don't want to read the book before I see the movie. It used to be vice versa for me, but now I think I'm going to watch the show or movie before reading the book. (Of course, unless the movie comes out after I've read it.)

P.S. Have you seen the epicness of the Deathly Hallows trailer!? If not you must, click here to watch. The only other Harry Potter movie I saw in theaters was Sorcerer's Stone so I kind of, pretty much, have to see Deathly Hallows. :)

Whisper and The Sky is Everywhere are both debut novels.

These books are all from the library. One book I've had on hold for quite sometime and the other two were "spur-of-the-moment" picks! They are on my "TBR" list, but didn't have them too high. Since a lot of the 2010 Debut Author books are taking forever to be ready at the library I decided to get them anyways. Here they are:

I have been looking forward to Insatiable for quite sometime! I didn't think it'd be ready today, but I'm glad it is. I've only read one book by Meg Cabot, but I can't wait to read more. I seem to mainly be interested in her Adult books, but I may maneuver over to her YA books. I've heard good things about them! P.S. How amazing is that cover?

I've read that people think How to Say Goodbye in Robot is a sad but sweet book. I've been reading a lot of "love stories....but I guess this is a different kind of love story.
I think I'll be reading this one next.

Numbers hasn't gotten the highest reviews, but the books sounds really good. And I don't completely trust what other people rate anyways. This girl can look in your eyes and see the day you will die. But I'm not so sure I'd like to have that "talent" or know anyone with it. I don't know, this may be the next one I read!
And I love how creepy that cover is!

I also checked out the movie "The Children's Hour". I've seen some of it, but every time it's on I never catch it at the beginning. I love older movies!! :)

This In My Mailbox post is such a lonely one! After accumulating all those books over the past few weeks. I forgot that sometimes you have to settle down. So this is one book I got from the library today! One that I've been greatly anticipating!

I finally had a chance to go look in a thrift store that's been "under construction" for awhile. As soon as I saw the wall of books I knew I wasn't leaving empty handed. And I didn't. :) I picked through and ended up with two James Patterson books and Elsewhere that's been on a lot of blogs lately, glad it was there. Both of the James Patterson books are a part of a series I don't have but will later be getting. I do enjoy some of his books.

I've been through Big Lots' bin of books twice before and saw The Second Coming of Mavala Shikongo, but I never really thought twice about it. I enjoyed the cover enough to look at it again. I checked out Goodreads and decided that I'd go ahead and get it. Seems interesting.

I just got First Daughter and Last Snow by Eric Van Lustbader in the mail today and was pleased. I really really wish I knew who I won them from so I could personally thank them. Eric signed Last Snow and I'm completely grateful for it. So if you happen to read my blog, or come across it and I won the books from you a big "Thank you"!
