Waiting on Wednesday (002)

(I know you're supposed this on Wednesday, hence the title...but I decided today's better than never.)

This week I'm waiting on Penitence by: Jennifer Laurens!! 

I have yet to read Heavenly but it's on hold at the library. So I'm excited. Jennifer Laurens is also known as J.M. Warwick who wrote A Season of Eden, one of the best written books I've read in a long time.  (Read and re-read that sentence, poorly worded...but the best way to explain.) 

Penitence is the second book in the Heavenly series about--obviously, Angels. Though I am an Atheist I find this as interesting as vampires. It's all fiction to me. But that's not what drew me to the book, though the author had a lot to do with it, the summary made it sound amazing. Plus the ratings on Goodreads.com say that Heavenly is worthy of five stars. (Except for a few sour pusses.)

Summary:
I met someone who changed everything. Matthias. My autistic sister's guardian angel. Honest. Inspiring. Funny. Hot. And immortal. That was the problem. What could I do? I did what any other girl would do-I fell in love with him. Zoë's sister darts in front of cars. Her brother's a pothead. Her parents are so overwhelmed; they don't see Zoë lost in her broken life. Zoë escapes the only way she knows how: partying. Matthias, a guardian sent from Heaven, watches over Zoë's autistic sister.
